Thursday, January 22, 1998 It's Vegas, what else do I need to say? If you're buying, someone is selling, and what you get out of it reflects a lot on you. It can fun, educational, better than Disney, or it can be a sleazy hell on earth. I'm getting 2 new tires; the front won't last 2,000 more miles. The shop (Motorcycle Central) lied to me on the phone when they told me they had Dunlop D207s in stock. That's too bad; I would have called all of the shops in Vegas looking for a set of D207s. However they did have a special on Dunlop D204 s, just like my Monster has. The shop will hold my bike while I'm in Colorado. At least I will be able to do a more direct comparison between the K12 and the Monster with both bikes on the same tires. In other news when I installed NT on my notebook I was at the PDC . I apparently used an evaluation copy of NT; today the eval period expired. Yecch. Like I need more dead weight. (for those not familiar with NT's evaluation period, when it expires you have one hour per boot of NT. At the end of the hour you get a Blue Screen Of Death.) To fix this I'll need to uninstall IE4, reinstall NT (I need to get a non eval CD from somewhere) and reinstall SP3 (I did bring this CD, but not the NT or IE CDs) |
