Friday, January 23, 1998 Some worried that I'd fallen off the face of the earth because I stopped sending trip reports. Between the 1 hour limitation of the end of eval period and the lack of motorcycle traveling I just didn't have time. (When I get off the bike I'm not ready to fall asleep but I'm also not ready to go do something right away; this was a good time to write the trip reports.) Let's see, Wednesday I arrived in Vegas, Thursday I poked around Vegas and picked out new tires. Friday I dropped my bike off at the shop and flew to Denver. Wearing a one-piece Cordura motorcycle suit (my Aerostitch) through the airport drew some stares from the other passengers but little notice from the airport staff. It was only uncomfortable when I had to walk a long way to/from my gates. When I arrived in Denver Brian Cruikshank (a college roommate of 3 years) picked me up. We then headed to downtown Denver to pick up Debbie, his SO. Then we headed out of town towards Steamboat Springs. The trip was uneventful. After we arrived we unpacked, I introduced Brian to B&B (I think he's now hooked) and we turned in fairly early so we could hit the slopes at a reasonable hour. (They close around 4). |
