My sister Alicia arranged for me to come to her classroom as part of their Flat Kids project.
For this project they mailed full-size traces of each kid as well as a journal to be filled out to a number of people, some of whom were even expecting it. Let's see your reaction when you
receive an unexpected lumpy oversized package written with crude handwriting.
My flat kid was Flat Jessica. I'd taken her on a trip through Jamestown, Williamsburg, Roanoke & Blacksburg in Virginia over Christmas and written my journal on my handheld PC.
Unfortunately that was lost when my fanny sack fell off.
I was able to review my trip with the kids and then answer their questions about my trip and the gear I was wearing.
That evening I took my nephews for haircuts, dinner and to see Star Kid at the AMC theatre in Ontario Mills. 30 screens, stadium seating. I'm hooked on stadium seating now; even if there had
been more than 4 other people in the room, and if any of them had been taller than me, I would have had no problems seeing over their heads. We then went back to the school to pick up Alicia
(her track ends today and she needs to be out of her classroom by 1:30).
We got back home around 11 PM.
